Michelle McAnally is an anthropologist and journalist whose career has taken her from the Mississippi Delta to the Levant to the Outer Hebrides. Whether excavating past civilisations, preserving traditional cultures as a folklorist with the Smithsonian Institution, or crafting engaging narratives for a broad range of audiences, Michelle is passionate about exploring the connections between history and culture, to reveal the intricate tapestry of human experience that unites us all. Michelle has made her home in Argyll for the past 12 years with her husband, Rab, and in her spare time enjoys cooking, gardening and playing drums.

Rab

Rab, a native of Glasgow and Argyll resident for almost 20 years, is a designer, photographer, videographer and drone pilot with a keen knowledge of Gaelic language and culture. When not at his day job at a media company, or filming above Scotland with his beloved drone, you can find Rab leading two local bands or playing solo at venues across Argyll. The tartan we wear is that of Rab's grandmother's clan, the Maclachlans of Argyll.
