Isle of Kerrera Tours

Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Isle of Kerrera, called the "Jewel of the Firth of Lorn." Though just a five minute ferry from Oban, it feels like a walk on the wild side, with unspoiled views and superb wildlife watching opportunities.

At less than five square kilometres square, it seems a world away in both space and time. Even the name, which is Norse, harkens back to the Viking days. Fewer than 70 people live here, mainly farmers using traditional methods. The 16th century Gylen Castle offers stunning views across the Firth and islands, as well as fascinating- and bloody- stories. You might see wild goats, seals and sea eagles, and we may catch the Tea Garden open for refreshments.

Private walking tours lasting 3-4 hours are available for any size group. £120 for 1 to 8 people. You should be able to walk several miles on sometimes uneven and unpaved routes.

Full refund for a cancellation at least 24 hours before the tour. If your guide has to cancel the tour due to weather or any reason, you'll receive a ticket for another tour or a full refund, your choice.

Tours meet at the Kerrera Ferry terminal at the Oban side, PA34 4PE, and must be planned according to the ferry schedule. So get in touch with your preferred date and time of day and we'll make a plan!
